Our Story

The Journey of Taru Foundation

In 2019, Nitin Dewangan left his corporate job as a Business Development Manager with a leading tech MNC to start Taru Foundation. His philosophy of making the world accessible to the youth of his hometown drove him to start Taru Foundation through which he would nurture the youth so that they could access Education, find meaningful employment and drive their families out of generational poverty.

Inception

Established in 2019 in Korba

In the initial days, we started with an assessment of the communities in Korba and neighbouring districts of Korea. We started intervention with govt. school to empower them with capacity building training. We partnered with many government and NGOs working in the areas of:

Integrated Rural Development Program, Famer & Agriculture Development, Women Empowerment, Education & Skill Development, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Wellness Projects.

With our learnings in the areas, we were able to find our niche areas of intervention based on the UNSDGs.

Our Goals

Based on the UNSDGs

We are focused on NINE UN Sustainable Development Goals to create a better world by empowering local and achieving global standards of living. We are dedicated to create small or big impact in our dedicated fields of intervention. Taru Foundation's values are based on them and our team is committed to deliver them .
